Caty Elgin
Caty Elgin is the trainer at CJE Training located at Hunters' Glen Farms in Des Moines, Iowa. Caty has a broad background in hunters, jumpers, eventing and dressage. She can often be found at HGF with her side kick, Mako tagging along.
Caty has been teaching and training since 2018. She started her own lesson program at Hunters Glen Farms in 2024. Since beginning her new program, Caty has been able to take on more clients and horses. Caty specializes in teaching hunters, equitation, jumpers, and dressage. She also specializes in retraining horses off the track. The lesson and training programs enforce correct and safe riding, confidence, horsemanship, and kindness to our equine friends.
Caty graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Elementary Education which has helped teach her how to work with both children and adults alike. She continues her personal education by frequently riding under top trainers and riders around the country. Caty truly believes that no one should ever stop learning, and she is able to pass this knowledge along to her students.
